The Sala Municipal in Nerja is currently hosting an exciting collective art exhibition titled “Enamórate con el Círculo” (Fall in Love with the Circle), featuring works by 52 talented artists from the Círculo de las Artes y las Ciencias from Velez-Malaga.

The exhibition, which opened following its inauguration on January 30, celebrates contemporary creativity and encourages cultural exchange between neighbouring communities in the Axarquía region. Organised by the Círculo de las Artes y las Ciencias – an association dedicated to building synergies among creators and promoting cultural dissemination, as well as providing exhibition opportunities – the show highlights new artistic proposals from its multinational members.

Vast array of styles and talent from the Axarquia region

Visitors can explore a diverse array of professional-level artworks, ranging from paintings and sculptures to mixed media pieces, all displayed in the central Sala Municipal. Participants include both established and emerging artists from the region, with some noting the inclusion of over 60 creators in related promotions, though official announcements confirm 52 exhibitors. The event exemplifies Nerja’s growing role as a cultural and artistic hub, welcoming regional talent and inviting the public to engage with innovative expressions of art and creators in their community.

Strengthening community ties and promoting local creativity

The exhibition remains open to the public free of charge until February 15. Opening hours are 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 9pm, making it easy to visit for everyone on a day out exploring Nerja’s historic centre. The exhibition space is open Monday to Friday.
